Job Overview

At Resilient Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an essential member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their strength and mobility.

Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can prepare engaging exercises and activities for physical therapy sessions with patients, providing them with the support and guidance they need to achieve their goals.
  • You will also provide counseling and consultations for new patients, their family members, and caregivers, ensuring that they understand the treatment plan and feel supported throughout the process.
  • In collaboration with our physical therapists, you will follow established goals and objectives for patients, monitoring their progress and identifying areas where additional support is needed.
  • As part of our direct patient care team, you will assist physical therapists in preparing equipment and exam rooms, adhering to strict safety procedures to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
  • To succeed in this role, you must be able to review patient files prior to appointments, having a clear understanding of the challenges they face and how to address them effectively.
  • Additionally, you will complete required documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • This position requires a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas, as well as proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Our ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Physical Therapy and demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • They should also possess experience working with sensitive patient records and information, as well as the ability to troubleshoot common software and hardware challenges.
  • Physical endurance and the capacity to work primarily in a standing position, lifting at least 50 lbs, are also essential for this role.
  • Finally, our successful candidate will demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or other staff members, prioritizing accountability and attention to detail in handling and documenting medical information.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
