Medical Screener

Making a Difference in the Community: At Miller-Keystone Blood Center, our mission is to ensure a steady supply of blood products to local hospitals. As a Medical Screener, you will play a vital role in this mission by safely collecting blood from volunteer donors.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $31,219, based on a starting rate of $15.06 per hour and 40 hours of work per week.

As a Medical Screener, your primary responsibilities will include performing blood pressure readings, pulse checks, and temperature readings. You will also be responsible for asking follow-up questions to verify donor eligibility and ensuring that all procedures are carried out in a safe and compassionate manner.

Additionally, you will work with volunteers and staff to ensure smooth operations at fixed site and mobile collections. This may involve communicating effectively, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate records.

You will be required to work part-time, including AM and PM shifts, with three days of work per week and every other weekend, as well as rotating holidays.

• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
• Ability to work with computers and tablets is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to follow all MKBC SOPs
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• A valid driver's license and personal transportation are required

The job will be based in Phoenixville, PA, or Bethlehem, PA.
