Job Summary

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective inventory management systems in collaboration with operations and quality teams. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inventory management systems to ensure accurate and efficient inventory tracking and control.
  • Collaborate with operations and quality teams to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Conduct daily inventory analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product movements to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Manage a team of inventory analysts and cycle counters to conduct ongoing inventory counts and investigations.
  • Direct and coordinate cycle counts to meet company goals and customer-driven KPIs.
  • Establish and adjust work schedules to meet shipment deadlines.
  • Improve inventory control fundamentals and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the facility.
  • Champion inventory control and interact with clients and suppliers on inventory-related matters.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to deploy inventory control improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead designated projects to deliver standards, processes, tools, and systems.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze cycle count accuracy, SKU adjustments, inventory shrinkage, and other established KPIs.
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment.
  • Conduct investigations and initiate corrective actions to resolve inventory issues.
  • Assess productivity and cost effectiveness of the inventory control department and develop projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in warehousing, supply chain management, or related field.
  • 5-6 years' experience in warehousing and distribution.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diligent, multi-task oriented, and organized.
  • Strong administrative, mathematical, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage people, processes, and technology.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • High degree of flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Certified to train on powered industrial equipment preferred.
