We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Park Ranger to join our team at the Bureau of Reclamation. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for ensuring the protection and preservation of our natural and cultural resources. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the conservation of our natural resources.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular patrols of recreation areas to ensure public safety and monitor visitor compliance and resource impacts.
- Provide information and answer questions about recreational activities, historical and cultural issues, and natural resources site information.
- Prepare necessary reports, such as daily log sheets, recreation inventory forms, incident reports, and other documents.
- Report accidents, vandalism, and unauthorized uses to proper authorities and evaluate potential health, safety, and environmental hazards.
- Administer first aid and other emergency assistance based on certification level and as deemed appropriate.
- Assist as a member of all-risk operations, including search and rescue, traffic control for emergencies and special events.
- Assist the supervisor in management of the recreational and resource programs at Stony Gorge and East Park reservoirs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
- Must submit a resume and supporting documentation.
- Must meet any minimum education and/or experience requirements.
- Must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times.
