Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo. As a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning, draping, and administering contrast media as needed.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and ultrasound machines.
  • Develop and process radiographic images, including adjusting exposure settings and selecting appropriate film or digital capture.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current ARRT (R) certification in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine.
  • 2 years of experience in radiologic technology, with 1 year of recent experience in nuclear medicine.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT Advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Epic experience.
Work Environment

This position will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials. The Per Diem Radiologic Technologist will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including lead aprons and gloves, as needed.
