Position Overview

The Workforce Group is actively searching for a proficient and seasoned Logistics Operations Manager to lead our warehouse activities during critical emergency situations. As a key member of our Emergency Response Reservist Cadre Team, you will be tasked with overseeing all warehouse functions during urgent deployments. Your responsibilities will encompass the management of the receipt, storage, and distribution of essential supplies and equipment, ensuring that logistics support is both efficient and effective.


Availability Requirements:

Ideal candidates for these emergency response roles must be prepared to deploy within 48 to 72 hours upon notification. These positions are contractual and, if activated, will necessitate travel on short notice, typically ranging from several days to a few weeks, and potentially extending to 30 days or more based on the requirements of the disaster response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead warehouse personnel, including their training, scheduling, and performance assessments.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment during emergency operations.
  • Ensure precise tracking and documentation of all inventory, maintaining current records.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with other emergency response teams, agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate seamless logistics operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and execute warehouse procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and submit reports regarding warehouse activities and inventory status.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline is preferred. Demonstrated experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a comparable role, particularly in emergency or disaster response contexts, is essential. Familiarity with logistics software and inventory management systems is required.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in challenging conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Willingness to be on emergency standby and deploy at short notice.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
