About the Role

The Restaurant Operations Manager is a key member of the Big Boy Restaurant Group team, responsible for the management and supervision of restaurant staff. This individual must have a thorough understanding of the company's operational standards and be able to demonstrate and teach these standards to others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and consistently enforce all company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a high level of quality and service.
  • Ensure compliance with government laws, rules, and regulations regarding wages, hours, and sanitation.
  • Work with the Executive General Manager to achieve financial goals for the restaurant, including maximizing sales and profits while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, complete related accounting and administrative reports, and ensure compliance with established pars.
  • Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new staff members, as well as oversee their training, development, and growth within the company.
  • Coach and counsel employees as needed to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Work with the Executive General Manager to implement marketing and promotional strategies, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Maintain strict safety and sanitation standards within the restaurant.
  • Assist the Executive General Manager in ensuring all employees receive proper training, formulating schedules, and maintaining guest goodwill and positive public relations within the community.
  • Support the management team in achieving complete guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to uniform standards at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Sufficient strength and agility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work long hours and be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to read, count, write, and follow recipes accurately.
  • Able to stand, sit, and drive a vehicle for long periods.
  • Good hearing, visual, English speaking, memory, writing, reading, math, and organizational skills.
