Library Technician

We are seeking a highly organized and technology-savvy Library Technician to join our team at Cabrillo Unified School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining modern library technology, monitoring day-to-day activities, and providing excellent customer service to students and teachers.

• Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field and apply this knowledge to improve library services.
• Assist students and teachers in operating audio-visual equipment and provide technical support as needed.
• Monitor library and media center day-to-day activities and ensure services meet student and teacher needs.
• Organize and maintain library collections, including books, media, and other resources.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, teachers, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in library science or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a library or educational setting, preferably with technology and customer service.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
