As a Cashier at Linvilla Orchards, your responsibilities will include managing transactions, merchandising, restocking products, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an inviting environment. You will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience by collaborating with the team and providing top-notch customer service. We are looking for cashiers to work both weekdays and weekends throughout the Fall season.

Key Responsibilities:
All duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Welcome customers warmly, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Accurately process customer transactions using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
  • Assist with product pricing and labeling as necessary.
  • Provide customers with information about farm products, including fresh produce, baked goods, and other market selections.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and maintain clear communication with management.
  • Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and other operational issues.
  • Follow cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, specials, and events at the market.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to meet company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stock merchandise from delivery to shelving; capable of lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Dependability, integrity, and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (weekends required).
  • Preferred: Minimum of two years of retail experience.
  • Required: Minimum of two years of cashier experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to stay organized, pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and multitask efficiently.
  • Availability for weekday afternoon shifts.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a retail setting preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
