Key Responsibilities
  • Assess welding equipment requirements and select the most suitable method for each task
  • Repair machinery and components using welding and filling techniques
  • Inspect and smooth welded surfaces for optimal finish
  • Align components for welding using rulers and clamps
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Study blueprints and project specifications
  • Calculate dimensions of parts to be welded
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in mechanics or construction
  • Prior welding experience is preferred
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Construction experience is required
  • Osha 30 or Osha 10 certification is preferred but not mandatory
Work Schedule and Compensation

Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM (OT available)

Salary: $22.00 per hour

Work setting: In the field or indoors

Work location: Piscataway, NJ
