Job Purpose
Responsible for conducting financial assessments (revenue, expenses & profitability) to support the Business Unit and corporate reporting requirements. Oversee and manage accounting functions while preparing monthly financial reports for the Business Unit and relevant internal stakeholders.
II. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial assessments on forecasts and operational outcomes.
- Monitor, analyze, and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics of the business unit to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
- Generate, deliver, and communicate essential financial insights to the General Manager and Business Unit leadership regarding variances in purchase prices, labor and overhead expenditures, production discrepancies, scrap rates, and other critical financial and performance metrics to aid in achieving the company's financial objectives.
- Develop strong analytical capabilities, and effectively plan and prioritize complex tasks such as month-end closing, quarterly and monthly financial forecasts, and Annual Operating Budgeting (AOP).
- Oversee inventory management, accounts receivable, and payable for the respective business unit to ensure asset turnover aligns with corporate goals.
- Track and analyze excess and obsolete inventory, collaborating closely with the business unit leadership to secure timely customer purchase orders.
- Conduct annual physical inventory counts and coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams for variance reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to provide quarterly capital expenditure budgets and advise the fixed asset team on timely capitalization, impairment, and disposal of fixed assets.
- Ensure financial reporting aligns with US GAAP and SOX compliance, maintaining the integrity and documentation of all financial reporting related to the operations team.
- Coordinate with Business Unit Leaders, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain, Internal Auditors, and External Auditors.
- Assist the Director/VP of Finance with special projects as required.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 4-7 years of diverse financial experience.
Required Skills: Financial and accounting experience within a manufacturing environment or audit experience. Proficiency in Excel. Fluent in English.
Required Training: Knowledge of Financial & Accounting principles, profitability analysis.
