Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Coinbase. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated ML models that make our platform more secure, expand usage of Coinbase through personalized recommendations, and improve the user experience for our customers.
The Coinbase Machine Learning team is committed to building scalable, adaptive, blockchain-aware ML systems that help our users explore and discover new use cases for Crypto on Coinbase and on the blockchain.
Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of industry experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, solid software engineering skills, and experience with coding on ML platforms (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch). They will also have a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Coinbase, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing new ML models to improving existing ones. You will also have the chance to collaborate with our senior engineers and product partners to identify and solve new use cases for ML on blockchain.

What you'll be doing:
- Hands-on development, productionization, and operation of Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale
- Contribution to our ML models for Risk, working at the intersection of Blockchain and AI technologies
- Collaboration with our senior engineers and product partners to identify and solve new use cases for ML on blockchain
What we look for in you:
- 2+ years of industry experience as a Machine Learning Engineer
- Solid software engineering skills
- Experience with coding on ML platforms (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch)
- Experience with basic ML techniques (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
Nice to Have:
- Master's degree or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science or related field
- Interest in DNNs, GANS, GNNs and Time Series modeling is a plus
Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
Pay Range: $147,900—$174,000 USD
