Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Unit at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with cancer and related conditions.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and pain management.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, including arranging for post-discharge care and services.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Certification in chemotherapy preferred.
