Service Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Mechanical Technician to join our team at Price LeBlanc. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles with integrity and ethics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine vehicles, diagnose issues, and discuss with the Shop Foreman or Service Advisor to determine the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
  • Communicate additional service requests to the Service Advisor for communication to clients.
  • Plan work procedures in cooperation with the Shop Foreman.
  • Provide labor time estimates to the Service Advisor.
  • Monitor repair time and update the Service Advisor on the status of client vehicles left for service and waiting clients.
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation.
  • Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs.
  • Understand and utilize the dealership computer system.
  • Assist Technician Trainees.
  • Wear approved safety glasses when in designated safety areas.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy.
  • Attend company and factory training.
  • Keep current with factory technical bulletins.
  • Understand and follow Federal, State, and local regulations, such as disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Attend weekly department meetings.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Operator's Driver's License; State Inspection License.
