Vesta Home is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, including the management of inventory, logistics, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity in the warehouse.
- Manage and train a team of warehouse personnel, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including OSHA and local fire and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with team members to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and service levels.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Develop and implement processes to improve inventory management, including cycle counting, inventory reporting, and stockroom organization.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and counseling to team members as needed.
- Administer coaching and counseling sessions with team members to address performance issues and improve overall performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for warehouse personnel, including cross-training and onboarding.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement departmental initiatives to promote productivity and high-quality customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve labor planning and scheduling, including forecasting and staffing.
- Conduct regular reviews of employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new concepts and strategies to enhance operational efficiencies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven track record of improving efficiency and productivity in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of warehouse personnel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
