Job Summary

Protos Security is seeking an experienced Off-Duty Officer to provide safety and security services to our clients. The ideal candidate will be a certified New Jersey law enforcement officer in good standing, with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an orderly post and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
  • Survey and assess potential risks and threats, enforcing established rules and procedures to protect clients' employees, guests, and property.
  • Provide support to the internal safety team and respond actively to incidents, using appropriate levels of force when necessary.
  • Assist in the event of an evacuation, directing employees to safe evacuation points.
  • Take photos of suspicious persons, vehicles, or situations and distribute via secure channels.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement in the investigative process as requested.
Qualifications
  • Active duty or retired certified New Jersey law enforcement officer in good standing.
  • Maintain required certifications and licenses based on current duty status.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Capacity to make rapid physical movements in response to emergency situations.
  • Occasional lifting/pushing of weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to outside weather conditions.
