Surgical Technologist Job Description

Tenet-Alabama is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Alabaster, Alabama.

Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for maintaining aseptic technique, setting up equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases. They will scrub and pass instruments during surgical procedures, pull cases as needed, and break down cases at the end of the procedure. The successful candidate will also be available for call on an assigned scheduled basis and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technician program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred: 1 year experience as a surgical technician and Surgical Technology Certification.
