Focused HR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Red Hat Linux Engineer/Architect to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of a cutting-edge Hyper-Converged Infrastructure technology stack.

As a key member of the IT Design Services team, you will collaborate with a talented group of engineers to configure, secure, and support the Hyper-Converged infrastructure. Your expertise in Linux administration, automation scripting, and cloud technologies will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our client's critical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Develop and maintain system/administrative scripts using Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
  • Design and implement Ansible playbooks and scripts for software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
  • Deploy and manage software-defined storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to maintain security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work with CICD pipelines, containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and OpenShift to support continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to configuration management and networking concepts within the Hyper-Converged environment.
  • Conduct security testing, including vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, to identify potential weaknesses and implement remediation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to industry compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO, by implementing appropriate controls and monitoring systems.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in installing, configuring, and administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Proven expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including virtualization, containers, and orchestration platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and industry compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
