Speech Therapist Director or Rehab Leader

The Pines Post-Acute and Memory Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to lead our rehabilitation services team. As a Speech Therapist Director or Rehab Leader, you will be responsible for the leadership, management, and day-to-day operations of our rehab services. This role will direct all three disciplines to ensure the highest quality rehab services are provided and in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards. You will also still be a treating therapist.

Responsibilities
  • Assign patient caseload and other responsibilities to staff with clinician input
  • Supervise rehab staff and ensure effective rehab staff orientation, training, and ongoing competency
  • Coordinate rehab admissions and distribution of caseload, including productivity management
  • Ensure rehab department is providing skilled, clinically appropriate, and evidence-based care
  • Develop quality standards for program outcomes, performance improvement, customer satisfaction data, documentation, educational needs, and clinical standards
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in our residents
  • Assist in the case management/tracking of Medicare A rehab cases under the PDPM system
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of early intervention practices and building caseloads
  • Experience working in long-term care
  • Knowledge of the Medicare PPS System preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life
