Logistics Vendor Optimization Specialist

This role will support the development and implementation of a vendor optimization program aimed at securing preferred rates for operational expense vendor partners across Prologis's real estate portfolio in the Americas and Europe.


Through the execution of this program, Prologis aims to create a streamlined network of highly qualified vendor partners, reducing costs and improving efficiency.


The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, with experience working on cross-functional projects and managing complex deal structures.


They will also have advanced analytics skills, including the ability to synthesize large data sets into summaries, and a data-driven mentality to back up decisions with compelling data.


Additionally, the candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex vendor relationships and drive cost savings.


Key responsibilities will include executing program objectives, creating project timelines and status reports, and maintaining relationships with suppliers across various categories and regions.


The candidate will also be responsible for developing and executing category and negotiation strategies, tracking and managing category budgets, and reporting on cost savings achieved through vendor negotiations and program implementation.


They will work closely with Procurement Operations to identify international category trends and their impact on Prologis, and will be responsible for representing the program to internal stakeholders.


Other duties may include identifying process improvement opportunities and working with stakeholders to implement changes, and documenting key procurement processes and procedures.


This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience, including sourcing and procurement experience, and a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management.


The hiring salary range for this position is $104,000 - $143,000, with a whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
