Position Overview:

We are in search of a dependable and proficient CDL Roll-Off Truck Operator to become part of our team in the Washington, D.C. area. The successful candidate will be tasked with operating a Roll-Off truck, ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of dumpsters from various sites, including residential and contractor locations. This position also entails transporting debris to disposal and recycling centers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport and retrieve dumpsters from residential and contractor locations.
  • Transport debris to designated disposal and recycling facilities.
  • Serve as a swing driver for rear loader refuse trucks.
  • Adhere to designated route plans and maintain a daily schedule to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Complete and update route documentation using iPad software.
  • Collaborate with the route manager to enhance route efficiencies.
  • Accurately fill out Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
  • Report any mechanical and maintenance concerns to the operations manager.
  • Inform the route manager of any incidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Engage in safety training, driver meetings, and company gatherings.
  • Demonstrate patience with repetitive tasks and foster a cooperative team environment.
  • Focus on executing tasks accurately and efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class B CDL and DOT medical certification.
  • Clean driving history.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong communication abilities and empathetic listening skills.
