Job Summary:
Mass., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist physicians with clinical duties
* Perform emergency services as necessary
* Dispense medication as directed
* Account for medication, supplies, and equipment
* Make entries into infirmary log
* Confer with other shifts regarding patients and infirmary activities
* Conduct intakes, chart reviews, and medication verification tasks
* Ensure compliance with ACA and NCCHC standards
* Work with SOPS regarding medication and discharge planning
Working Conditions:
* Based in a correctional facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
* Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, nights, holidays, and subject to being forced to work over 8 hours depending on operational needs
* May be required to interact with people under physical and/or emotional stress, stand and walk for prolonged periods, lift and carry heavy objects, restrain inmates/detainees in accordance with policy, and work under exposure to adverse weather conditions
Qualifications:
* Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
* Current RN license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
* Minimum of three (3) years of RN experience preferred
* Prior experience in a correctional or similar setting also preferred
* Ability to participate in professional development activities
* Strong written, communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
* Ability to complete multiple projects in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining comprehensive and cohesive records
Salary:
* Base salary is between $70,824.74 to $72,904.72 plus additional benefits
