We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist PRN to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support in various areas of laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, and microbiology.
- Interpret and report test results, verifying computer-generated reports and investigating errors or irregularities.
- Conduct quality control and maintenance activities, including documentation and corrective action.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new test methodologies and procedures.
- Train and orient new employees, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (military training and experience may be substituted for a degree).
- Current ASCP or ASCP-I certification and applicable licensure.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role or setting (preferred).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate computers and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity and ability to read computer monitors and documents.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
