Bilingual Nutritionist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual Nutritionist to join our team at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs for diverse adult and youth audiences, with a focus on nutrition and public health.

• Develop and implement educational programs for diverse audiences, including adults and youth, on topics related to nutrition and public health.
• Collaborate with researchers, educators, and extension staff to develop and deliver community and environmental nutrition education programs.
• Provide training and technical assistance to community-based organizations and individuals on nutrition and public health topics.
• Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of educational programs.
• Develop and manage budgets and grants to support program activities.

• Masters degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field.
• Experience in planning, teaching, and evaluating adult educational programs.
• Two or more years of experience in Cooperative Extension or similar educational fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

• Experience in grant writing and budget management.
• Experience collaborating with researchers, educators, and extension staff to develop and deliver community and environmental nutrition education programs.

• Competitive salary range: $69,000 - $73,000 per year.
• Exempt status with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week.
