Job Responsibilities
As a Pediatric Speech Therapist at Advocates For A Healthy Community Inc., you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and communication skills in children. You will utilize standardized assessments, observations, and parent/teacher input to identify specific challenges and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing therapy for speech delays, articulation issues, language disorders, stuttering, voice disorders, and other communication challenges.
- Utilizing evidence-based techniques and creative approaches to engage children during therapy sessions.
- Collaborating with families, caregivers, and teachers to provide education, resources, and support for carryover of skills in home and school environments.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a Pediatric Speech Therapist at Advocates For A Healthy Community Inc., you should have the following qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- A current state license to practice as a Speech Therapist.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric patients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits

- $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
- A $2,500 sign-on bonus for a 1-year contract.
