About the Role

The Sales Manager is a key member of the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill team, responsible for driving revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies. This individual will work closely with the sales and events staff to identify and pursue new business opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sell guest rooms, meeting space, and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts and conducting site inspections.
  2. Prepare and present effective proposals, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate.
  3. Participate in and may lead event meetings, sales, and other staff meetings, working closely with the sales and events staff.
  4. Utilize business development skills to identify and pursue new business opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Group sales experience in a hotel.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
