Unit Overview:

  • Located within a vibrant tropical environment, our flagship facility, AdventHealth Orlando, is a 1,368-bed hospital.
  • It serves as a major tertiary center for a significant portion of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America.
  • AdventHealth Orlando features one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the nation.
  • We are among the busiest hospitals in the country, delivering exceptional service to over 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually.

Unit Details:

· Positioned on the 3rd floor of our Ginsberg Tower, the GPS unit specializes in Pre and Post-operative care for our Neurosurgery service line, providing high-acuity care for both Pediatric and Adult patients.

· Spine/Stroke certified unit.

· Surgical Procedures Include:

o Neurosurgery

o Interventional Radiology Surgery

o Spinal Surgery

o Seizure Focus Mapping

o Laser Ablation

Your Role:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering and overseeing comprehensive nursing care to designated age-specific groups. This includes utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to achieve departmental goals. Compliance with the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations is essential. Active participation in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships is expected.

Terms: 12-month Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus:

· Relevant experience is required.

· Internal candidates and rehires within the last 12 months are not eligible.

Relocation Eligibility:

· Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the campus address.

Qualifications for Success:

What You Will Need:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as per specialty/unit requirements.
  • PALS certification is required only for specific Radiology/Imaging cost centers.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Professional certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications based on patient population.
  • Experience in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
