Marathon TS is seeking a skilled and innovative System Tester responsible for documenting testing methodologies and plans, as well as executing system evaluations and requirements validation. This role will involve collaborating with testing and development teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage actively in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and effective communication throughout the testing lifecycle. Act as a liaison to the business community and participate in unit and system testing to uphold the customer’s perspective while fostering client relationships at a peer level.
  • The System Tester will support team members in completing their tasks or acquiring necessary skills, contributing to a collaborative work environment. Typically accountable for the outcomes of team efforts by maintaining workflows, quality standards, and meeting deadlines.
  • Utilize our software from an end-user perspective; develop and execute manual regression testing procedures; document test outcomes, defects, and design inefficiencies in the software; assist developers in crafting realistic testing scenarios.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess an active TS clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Due to government contract requirements, US citizenship is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with development activities in unit/system testing.
  • Ability to perform analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deliverable deadlines and ensure business needs are fulfilled.
  • Experience with test result evaluation and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conduct analysis and projects aimed at enhancing the overall quality of work products and processes.
  • Ability to optimize efficiency through effective workload management.
  • Familiarity with Cucumber and Gherkin testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Git and Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum or DevSecOps methodologies with a focus on testing.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Visio.
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in any field or 5 additional years of experience in information technology. Proven ability to execute approved test plans with supervision and communicate complex technical issues effectively.
