Job Summary

Simpson is seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Associate to provide exceptional care and support to our residents in a dynamic and seasoned team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help residents with mobility and transferring, including using assistive devices such as walkers or wheelchairs.
  • Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication administration.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up a room, making beds, laundry, and emergent cleaning if necessary.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist with recreational activities and outings.
  • Document care provided and observations in residents' records.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete Direct Care Worker Training from Temple University Online before orientation.
  • Direct Care Staff Training and Competency Test.
  • Dementia Care Training within 30 days of hire.
  • CPR Certified.
  • First Aid Certified.
  • AED Certified (Preferred).
  • Medication Administration Certified (Preferred).
  • 1 year experience providing direct care to seniors or disabled people.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to communicate with other healthcare providers when necessary.
