Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Innovator (Executive Chef) to join our team. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food products, and leading a team of kitchen personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Menu Planning and Preparation: Select recipes, prepare, and coordinate all meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ensure quality assurance of meal presentation and portion control.
• Team Leadership: Directly supervise and train kitchen personnel on all related culinary activities. Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and terminating associates.
• Inventories and Budgeting: Estimate food consumption, requisition food purchases, monitor, and maintain inventory. Assist in adhering to budget compliance for daily food costs.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements. Ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order and kept clean at all times.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certifications and Licenses: ServSafe Certified. Obtain/hold any local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.

You should possess excellent cooking skills, knowledge of food preparation principles, ingredients, and culinary terminology. Additionally, you should have strong leadership and communication skills to manage multiple job tasks, supervise a diverse group of people, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

What We Offer

• Competitive Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
