About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Saint Joseph Village in Freeport, IL. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of your license.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic bedside care to long-term care patients, including administering medications and observing patients for adverse reactions.
  • Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse.
  • Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge and available resources.
  • Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations, and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Licensure: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date required; Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date required.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
