Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Radiology Technologist - Imaging Specialist to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing CT scans, preparing procedure trays, gathering patient history, retrieving necessary orders or previous images, and providing pertinent patient information to the radiologist. Additionally, the ideal candidate will uphold safety standards by adhering to ALARA principles, inform and guide patients through procedures, and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and their families.

What You Will Do- Perform CT exams following protocols to ensure high-quality care.
- Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
- Take patient history and retrieve necessary orders or prior images.
- Provide relevant patient history, signs, and symptoms to the radiologist.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure all exams are completed.
- Adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) safety principles.
- Inform patients about procedures and answer their questions.
- Professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
- Start IVs for contrast administration and use the power injector.
- Participate in after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
- Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and accreditations.
- Perform daily maintenance of work areas, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
- Promote customer service by adhering to the ICARE values.
- Support and participate in quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or eligible for advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
- 1 year of post-graduate experience, preferred.
- BLS certification required.
The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions in Nashville, Tennessee.
