About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate efficient care and communication.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment and any necessary preparations.
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to established protocols.
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
  • Perform quality control procedures and notify relevant parties of any issues or concerns.
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the Louisiana State Radiology Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology.
