Position Summary:

In the capacity of an Aircraft Interior Upholstery Technician, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities ranging from basic upholstery tasks to comprehensive refurbishments of interior components. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team on various projects.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute a range of upholstery tasks, including foam layering, pattern creation, and sewing of seat components and other interior fixtures.
  • Oversee the removal, cleaning, repair, and modification of upholstery materials.
  • Maintain daily logs and uphold exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization in the workspace.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to access electronic training resources and maintenance records.
  • Work autonomously when necessary and communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in upholstery work on corporate aircraft is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sewing proficiency and familiarity with upholstery tools and techniques.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license suitable for airline travel and/or a valid passport is advantageous but not mandatory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations and adhere to company safety standards.
  • Actively participate in team environments and meet established deadlines.
  • Carry out significant modification tasks as needed while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly capable of walking, bending, squatting, standing for extended periods, and navigating confined spaces.
  • Strong understanding of aviation industry regulatory and safety standards.

Work Environment:

  • Most work is conducted in a hangar or workshop setting; occasional tasks may occur on the aircraft ramp.
  • Utilization of personal and power hand tools, including sewing machines, sanders, and saws.
