Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Dock Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting and handling freight in and out of over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations.
+ Operate dock tools to ensure freight is loaded securely and properly, including maintaining straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage.
+ Load, recoup, rewrap, and stack freight as needed.
+ Verify shipments by reading labels and correctly securing freight for both loading and unloading trailers.
Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Previous experience in warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack operations preferred.
+ Forklift certification or hazmat training desired.
