About the Role:

Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images using magnetic resonance imaging scanners to aid in patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and operate MRI equipment, positioning patients correctly and recording diagnostic images.
  • Follow physician instructions and ensure patient safety and comfort during and after the exam.
  • Acquire and review patient questionnaires, charts, and data to determine contraindications for MRI examinations.
  • Verify and validate patient screening safety forms and perform daily quality assurance checks.
  • Administer contrast agents and educate patients on MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Assist with scheduling patients and complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintain available equipment uptime for patient accessibility.
  • Process billing via RIS and potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and locations.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing.
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
  • Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
