Job Opportunity

Discovery at Home is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work with patients in their homes, providing speech therapy services and making a positive impact on their lives.

About the Opportunity:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Discovery at Home, you will have the chance to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide speech therapy services to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
  • Provide speech therapy services to patients in their homes, including instruction on exercises and techniques to improve communication and swallow function
  • Regularly monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care
  • Educate patients and families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to manage symptoms and improve communication and swallow function

Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home health or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
