About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team at Velox. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our digital marketing tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and user-friendly backend systems to support our digital marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our front-end development team to ensure seamless integration and a cohesive user experience.
  • Analyze data and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize our systems.
  • Develop and maintain APIs to integrate with our marketing tools and platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our systems remain competitive and secure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Expertise in at least one programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, etc.).
  • Experience with database development using MySQL or SQL.
  • Experience with source control management (Git, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of web development principles, including object-oriented programming and software development best practices.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Knowledge of marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in web development.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, etc.).
  • Knowledge of accessibility and WCAG standards.
