Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a dedicated and experienced Class A CDL driver to join our team. As a solo truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle to transport freight across the country
  • Ensure timely delivery of freight and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Follow all applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
