Residential Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

1. Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure client needs are met.
3. Monitor client progress, reporting any changes or concerns to supervisors and other relevant staff.
4. Assist with household chores, meal preparation, and laundry, maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
5. Supervise family visitation and participate in community-based outings and recreational activities.
6. Attend mandatory training and in-service sessions, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
• An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in the Human Services field.
• Physical Management Training (PMT) and First Aid, CPR, and Medication Certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and families.
• A commitment to providing high-quality care and support, with a focus on promoting client independence and well-being.
