The Role

We're seeking an ambitious Visual Content Creator who is innovative, experienced, and excited to be part of a fast-paced environment creating new and engaging content daily. This internship is unpaid, on-site, based out of our office and studio in Downtown San Diego.

You'll have the opportunity to work in a creative environment every day in the Beauty and Lifestyle industry, directly supporting the Photography Team with day-to-day creative operations. The ideal candidate has proven success in articulating concepts, sourcing inspiration, shooting, and editing photos, all while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.

You'll report to the Head of Photography and Director of Creative Strategy & Production, collaborating with the Photo Team and the creative department as a proactive member.

Responsibilities

You'll shoot and edit for weekly, monthly, and quarterly photo needs and social content. You'll work with other members on the creative and account management teams to execute the brand's goals. You'll take part in and assist with all facets of creative productions, from pre-production to shooting to post-production.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in photography
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Capture One, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite
  • Exceptional knowledge of lighting and retouching
  • Intermediate knowledge of camera operation
  • Ability to determine lighting requirements for shots
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once, paying strict attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Solid work history
  • Sense of ownership and understanding of its impact on company success
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Impeccable time management skills

About the Compensation

This role comes with a compensation package estimated at $52,500 per year, which reflects the local market rate and industry standards. We are committed to delivering results-driven solutions to our clients.
