About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Assistant at Friendship Community Care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect care, education, and supervision of children in our Early Childhood programs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure that the quality standards of care for Early Childhood programs are met by following procedures and maintaining accurate records.
  • Create a Conducive Environment: Create and maintain an environment conducive to the proper care, education, and safety of children, adhering to ITERS/ECERS standards.
  • Implement Plans of Care: Assist with the implementation of plans of care by collecting data, creating progress notes, and collaborating with parents and staff members.
  • Supervise Children: Directly supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with parents, staff members, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and productive atmosphere.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, early childhood experience is preferred. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate with minimal noise levels. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of care.
