We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Love and Unity Christian Fellowship in Compton, CA. As a valued member of our educational community, you will play a critical role in providing a nurturing environment for young children aged 2-5 years old.

Job Overview

This is a full-time employment opportunity that requires the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues to create a safe, engaging, and Biblically-based learning environment. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the mission and philosophy of Love and Unity Christian Academy, under the supervision of the Director.
  • Maintain a classroom environment that promotes focus, awareness, and safety while engaging with individual children and being mindful of the overall atmosphere.
  • Keep accurate developmental records and document observations of children in the class, communicating regularly with parents through various means.
  • Create an aesthetically pleasing and clutter-free space that inspires creativity and exploration, considering the outdoors as an extension of the learning environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 12 ECE units and at least one year of teaching experience.
  • Possess strong relational and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students and adults.
  • Able to construct and apply developmentally appropriate lesson plans and practices in teaching.
  • Capable of caring for a large group of children alone in a classroom, requiring energetic and flexible individuals.
  • Proficient in CPR and First Aid certification, with the ability to undergo background checks and maintain confidentiality.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (AA, BA/BS, etc.)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (not required)
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly salary rate, medical and dental benefits, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We require dependable transportation and availability for full-time employment.
