The Pet Patrol Dog Hotel is actively seeking skilled all-breed DOG STYLISTS / DOG GROOMERS to enhance our team. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on expertise in providing grooming and bathing services for various dog breeds, demonstrating a meticulous attention to detail.
Work Schedule: A flexible schedule is essential, with the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Requirements:
- Ability to manage and control dogs of all sizes
- Enjoyment in working with both pets and people
- Stamina and mobility to engage with energetic dogs and maintain a clean and inviting facility
- Flexibility to work during weekdays, weekends, and holidays as directed by management
- Capability to follow instructions and adhere to established processes
- Strong observational skills to monitor animal behavior and identify potential issues
- No allergies or fears related to dogs of any size
- Ability to multitask and handle various assignments efficiently
- Understanding that cleaning up after dogs and maintaining the facility is part of the role
- A positive and upbeat demeanor
- Physical capability to be on your feet, move around, and perform cleaning tasks
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct grooming tasks as specified by clients and noted on the grooming card, including:
- Nail trimming
- Tooth brushing
- Brushing
- Bathing
- Haircuts
- Prepare dogs for bathing following established procedures, such as:
- Brushing out the dog with appropriate tools
- Nail trimming
- Ear cleaning
- Ensure dogs are thoroughly dried, utilizing:
- Hand drying when time allows
- Cage dryers for various grooming stages
- Hand drying for all groomed dogs
- Complete grooming tasks as requested, ensuring:
- All dogs are brushed and combed
- Bathing dogs receive cologne and a bandana unless otherwise requested
- Maintain grooming stations stocked and tools cleaned and ready for use
- Keep the grooming area tidy by:
- Promptly cleaning up spills and accidents
- Ensuring all hair is swept, vacuumed, and mopped at the end of the day
- Preparing holding cages for the next day's arrivals
- Update pet status in the company software system and inform reception when dogs are ready for pickup
- Adhere to safety protocols for pets and staff, seeking assistance when necessary
