As a P12 Placement and Licensure Specialist at Southern Utah University, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our education credentialing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to review, analyze, and evaluate applications for public school teaching credentials, certificates, and permits. You will also serve as a campus resource, providing guidance and information to students, faculty, and staff on matters related to state and campus education credentialing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate with the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Manage student teaching placements for secondary and elementary students in conjunction with the Field Services coordinator.
- Maintain reciprocity compliance for moving licensure to another state.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements with USBE.
- Prepare verification letters for students.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the College of Education and Human Development to ensure accreditation reporting, Title II reporting, and USBE reporting.
- Provide licensure support for other professional programs on campus as time allows.
- Bachelor's degree or 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with computers, including Windows and Apple products.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat.
