Surgical Renal Nurse Specialist

A Career That Matters
This role is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month, an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

- We have a 43-bed unit consisting of Medical, Surgical, Vascular, Nephrology, and Urology patients. We also have an established Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program.

- Continuing educational opportunities that promote and support certifications (CCTN, BMTCN, and Medsurg-BC) are provided.
Benefits
We offer safe patient ratios: 1 nursing professional: 4-5 patients. In-unit message chairs are available for all staff members.
About Our Team
If you're looking for a safe work environment with consistent patient ratios, look no further. At Vascular/Nephrology/Urology at McKennan, you can expect a consistent patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5. Our leaders care about YOU, and will do whatever it takes to ensure that ratio remains optimal for your ability to not only care for your patients, but yourself in your practice.
What You'll Need
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of
Work Schedule
The hours for this position vary between days and nights. A shift differential of $3 is available for hours worked between 7p and 7a, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights. Weekend and/or night contracts are available.
Compensation
The hourly range for this position is $32.00 - $46.50 per hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
