About the Role:

Precision Walls is seeking a skilled Exterior Glass and Metal Panel Specialist to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering accurate estimates on time, leveraging your expertise in the Glass, Glazing, Curtain Wall, and Metal Panels industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collect and organize bid documents, including blueprints, specifications, and scope of work, from various sources.
  • Review drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required line items for each takeoff.
  • Compile a detailed takeoff of all exterior glass, interior glass, and metal panel quantities required for the project.
  • Collect material pricing and application instructions from multiple vendors and store them in the project file.
  • Attend jobsite visits and pre-bid meetings as required.
  • Review the completed takeoff with the supervisor to ensure an accurate, comprehensive, and timely estimate is submitted for each project.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience in the construction field.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to read drawings, conceptualize building design, and systematically measure building components.
  • Highly organized and able to adapt to new software programs.
