Job Overview

Explore Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our team. As an Elementary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the growth and development of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in grades K-5, using culturally responsive pedagogical strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Develop and implement engaging unit and lesson plans, aligned with our shared curriculum and standards.
  • Assess and analyze student progress, using data to inform instruction and drive student achievement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of student information, ensuring compliance with school and district policies.
  • Cultivate a positive classroom culture, using restorative practices and responsive classroom approaches to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels to promote a cohesive and supportive school community.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including weekly PD sessions, year-round retreats, and coaching by experienced professionals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience teaching grades K-5.
  • New York State Teaching Certification, preferred.
  • Master's degree in Education, preferred.
