Civil/Structural Inspector

Job Summary:
A Civil/Structural Inspector is needed to join our team at APSI Construction Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed safely and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Inspections: Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with clients, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Reporting: Prepare daily reports on project progress and any issues that may arise.
- Schedule Review: Review the contractor's schedule to ensure that projects are completed on time.
- Labor Compliance: Ensure that labor laws and regulations are followed.
- Special Material Testing: Coordinate with third-party special material testing inspectors.
- Design Document Review: Review and provide input on design documents and potential change order issues.
- Project Records: Maintain project records and photographic records.
- Field Surveys: Verify field surveys.
- Project Issues: Report on project issues and provide status updates.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience inspecting various types of construction scope of work, with a focus on civil and structural components.
- Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or construction management.
- Certifications: A minimum of 30HR OSHA Safety card.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, and experience with Windows Office and construction management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience as an inspector on projects greater than $100M in value that include civil and structural components in the scope of work.
- Federal Experience: Experience as an inspector on federal projects and familiarity with federal policies and procedures.
