Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness
    • Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and cutlery in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support Food Preparation
    • Assist in the preparation of meals, including food handling, storage, and presentation.
    • Help maintain food and supply storage areas in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Transport and Store Supplies
    • Transport trash from dining rooms and deposit in designated containers.
    • Segregate and remove trash, and clean and sanitize trash cans.
  • Assist with Special Events
    • Set up banquet tables for special events, ensuring a high level of presentation and quality.
  • Maintain Kitchen Equipment
    • Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and utensils using the three-compartment sink method.
    • Wash and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, sinks, and kitchen equipment.
  • Report and Maintain Records
    • Report equipment and supply needs to the Assistant Director.
    • Attend in-service training classes to maintain knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to read and understand dietary instructions and fluent in English language (both written and verbal).
  • Reasoning Ability
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
